Adding a European Conservatory to Enhance a New England Home

I live in the USA but am from the UK where a glass conservatory or garden room is a wonderful addition to many houses. It brings the outside in and allows the occupier to enjoy the garden in all weathers. My conservatory will be more than just a glass addition, it will be a permanent extension to my home and one which will add to my family's quality of life. I can see myself sitting listening to the rain as it spatters against the glass, being all cozy and snug as I watch the snow fall or pulling the blinds back to create shade from the overhead summer sun. It's design will compliment that of my house, but with a few "victorian" flourishes in the detailing along the roofline, cost permitting I might also incorporate a small amount of stained glass into the design to provide a simple aesthetic to the structure, one that can be enjoyed in all seasons. It will be built from a base of stonework and be fully finished with a deep mahogany wooden flooring and french doors which open out onto a new stone patio.

Not only do I love conservatories, but I organize many garden parties and love these pop up marquees that allow for instant shelter from the wind and rain.
