Most fleet operator’s headaches come from the lackluster performance of their drivers. A vehicle is easy to fix when it breaks down due to engine trouble. After an overhaul, a vehicle can perform smoothly or even better. But how do you fix the problem of a delinquent driver without getting into any labor disputes?
The problem with drivers is that it is very hard to monitor their driving habits unless you have an efficient GPS fleet management system. With a GPS device installed on the vehicle they are driving you can keep a record of your driver’s performance. You can trace the routes they have taken, how many unnecessary stops they made and how much idle time they have consumed. The system can also monitor the rate of speed that they are going. These data is important when it comes to their work evaluation and in settlement of salary payouts. Most of the time when drivers know they are under surveillance their performance improves and it disciplines their driving style. |

I've always dived straight into jobs - I've sold alloy van racking, computers, even learnt to program them and worked as a programmer, I've been a travel guide, and finally a teacher in a secondary school.
As for my ultimate job, let me share you my "fantasy job":-
I dream of having the job of the principal of a new school. The owners give me full freedom to run the school. My first duty is to get the school ready. The buildings are airy and full of light. I give a lot of attention to toilets. library and recreation facilities. Next comes the task of selecting teachers. I require teachers who can love the children unconditionally. I believe that even the most naughty student would fall for a loving teacher. I try to impress on the teachers the value of a good teacher. I mix both youth and experience while choosing the teachers. After I select them I give them a lot of preparation. They have to know that teaching is not just a job but it is a vocation. It is the greatest profession and a good teacher creates a good society. Each teacher has to take personal care of a limited number of students. Punishments are to be given according to the crime and not according to the level of the teacher's anger. Thus we start the school. |

Do you know why women find it much easier to get very cheap auto insurance rates than men? It is because providers consider them to be better drivers. No, better driving is NOT what you think it is. It is NOT who can pull the most difficult stunts. It is who has a higher likelihood of being safe while driving.
So what does it matter to you, a man, if women do pay much less? You can use this to your advantage if you are a married person. What can you do? Have your vehicle insured in your wife's name and take advantage of this favorable bias for womenfolk. However, this assumes that your wife doesn't other issues that might make her a bad risk.
What do I mean? On the average, women are considered better drivers. However, if a woman has shown by her history that she isn't such a good risk, then she will get far more expensive rates than most men. Cheaper rates aren't just given to women by token. They get it because they are seen to be safer drivers. |
