Pre-Fabricated Steel Building Warehouse as Band Practice Venue

posted on 13 July 2011

My brother is an aspiring musician and since music is truly his passion he formed his own band. I just heard them play once and I really think that they have potential and since I love my only sibling I promised him that I will help him in any way I can. He told me that they needed a place to practice because our garage is not conducive to good acoustics so I told him that I will just try to clear one small-sized prefabricated steel building that we use as warehouse in the office so they can use it. I have never seen my brother so grateful and it made me realize that there are a lot of things about him that I have yet to discover and hopefully I will still get the chance. My brother didn’t know that I am also talking to one of my friends for a possibility of giving his band a regular gig in one of the most famous clubs in town I bet my brother would be ecstatic if this pushes through.

Untidy Streets Can be a Hazard to Health

posted on 27 April 2011

Untidy streets can be extremely unsightly and can make any street look horrible. People should understand that it is an offense to litter the streets and not just rely on the diesel pressure washers and other machniery of their local council to clean up after them. It is very simple to discard rubbish by putting it in the bin. Rubbish left on the streets can be putrid. Most of the time it is wrappings from fast food places and empty alcohol cans. People mindlessly discard rubbish by throwing it out of their car window not giving it another thought. When left on the side walk and roads in can look untidy and the rubbish can make its way towards the waterways which can destroy lovely beaches. Rubbish can attract undesirable attention from rats, cockroaches and maggots. They thrive on fermented food. This can bread bacteria and viruses which can effect to the overall health of an individual. This will put further pressure on the health system and will be rather costly for the individual. Taxes should not be used to clean up untidy streets as the money is needed in other sectors such as education and health.

I Have the Tools But Not the Skills to Improve My House

posted on 9 February 2011

I may not have the DIY skills, but I certainly have the tools. My wife keeps buying me DIY tools - I'm getting the idea she wants me to work on the house! She bought me a bench saw 2 months ago on my birthday, and it's still not been used - along with the other tools that are clean because they've never been switched on! However, if I had the time and skills, I would definitely take up the challenge to improve my house. I know I could hire a professional to do such jobs, but I get my wife's point - it's not impossible to learn DIY, and it will save a lot of money in the long run. So the logical next step is for me to take up some DIY courses so I don't end up making a mess of my fingers, let alone the house!
