The Negative Effect of Facebook on Private People

People who would like to remain private don't like the idea of Facebook whether they are a member or not. For instance when a person who is at a party or on a vacation of some sort and the private person is with them, they post pictures of each other on Facebook. This makes people who like to remain private feel that their privacy is being invaded because strangers or people who we wouldn't like to know, know where they are at the time as well as where they like to go.

It's interesting that proponents of Facebook often look at the more frivilous things Facebook offers, like the way you can decorate your page with Facebook banners and other trivial things.

People like my father - who isn't a member of Facebook - don't like when my mother posts pictures of him on Facebook immediately because it tells strangers where we as a family or he is at the time and can cause people to commit crimes because they think our house is empty.
